8 day Draft Itinerary
Tour groups may use this draft itinerary as a guide and make additions or deletions as they see fit. Changes will then be processed by Worldsport and the itinerary recosted
Day 1 Saturday 4 July
Group to arrive on the Gold Coast and check into self-contained apartments (to be confirmed) for a 7 night stay. Remainder of the day free to enjoy the surf and simple pleasures available on the Coast.
Day 2 Sunday 5 July
Canterbury CGCNC Match Day 1 - (Grading Day for divisions where required)
Managers’Meeting - 11.00 am (Compulsory for at least one official from each team). Venue for the meeting is the Southport Carrara Netball Association (SCNA) which is also the venue for the Carnival. SCNA has 14 excellent outdoor courts and is central to everything on the Gold Coast. Matches will start immediately after the Official Carnival Welcome.
Day 3 Monday 6 July
Canterbury CGCNC Match Day 2
Match times and courts etc determined by overall Carnival draw and the results of Monday's matches.
Day 4 Tuesday 7 July
Theme Park Day!
Spend today at Dreamworld - an action packed adventure with the wildest rides and attractions inAustralia including the Claw, Giant Drop and Tower of Terror. Alternatively, Seaworld and Movieworld also offer great entertainment; the choice is yours.
Day 5 Wednesday 8 July
CGCNC Match Day 3
Match times and courts etc determined by overall Carnival draw and the results of Tuesday'smatches.
Day 6 Thursday 9 July
Free Day. Groups visiting the Gold Coast are rarely at a loss for things to do but if help is needed, the liaison officer appointed to your team will be on hand to give a multitude of suggestions. If you simplywant to shop then you will think you have gone to heaven with the choices that are available!
Day 7 Friday 10 July
CGCNC Match Day 4 Presentations and Carnival Farewell. All courts will be used on the last day of competition to ensure those going to the Carnival dinner that evening have ample time. 7.00 pm - Carnival Dinner at Jupiters Casino
The evening will feature “performances” by a number of teams attending the Carnival and a high-profile guest speaker. Also featured will be a large screen video of netball and rugby Carnival highlights and a sports quiz. The dinner will be alcohol-free for students and will finish before 11.00 pm following a 90 minute disco.
Day 8 Saturday 11 July
Check out of your accommodation and depart the Gold Coast
Combined Spirit & Sportsmanship Dinner at Conrad Jupiters (Optional). Entertainment provided by rugby and netball teams & guest speakers
