The broad range of nominations for the Spirit of Rugby Award in 2008 once again demonstrated the number of personal friendships that are made between all the teams involved in the Carnival and was a reminder that the true Spirit of Rugby is still alive and well.

Every team cannot win this award but below are groups that received more than one nomination and just a sample of the comments made.

Aranmore College (West Australia)

The Spirit Of Rugby Award was closely contested with over 15 teams receiving more than 2 nominations from other groups.  The award in 2008 went deservedly to Aranmore College from West Australia.  Aranmore were attending the Carnival for the fourth consecutive year and had only narrowly missed the Spirit award on 2 previous occassions.  Congratulations to the Aranmore  officials Cameron Eglington and Dwayne Grace and of course all the players on winning the Carnival's top award.
