The 2009 Palm Beach Currumbin Tens

Venue:  Palm Beach Currumbin Rugby Club

Festival Date :  SUNDAY 5th July 2009

Matches start :  9.30 am 

Who: School & Club Teams Welcome - ( U18) / (U16) / (U15)

The Aim: To enjoy playing rugby in its most popular and exciting format and perhaps to warm up for the Canterbury Gold Coast Rugby Carnival held in the following week.

The PBC Tens Festival is a stand alone event but also serves as a warm-up for overseas and interstate teams coming for the popular Canterbury Gold Coast Rugby Carnival. Teams not wishing to participate in the Gold Coast 15 aside event or simply unable to do so are very welcome to enter the Tens event only.

The Tens Festival evolved to cater for the growing number of overseas groups annually attending the Canterbury Gold Coast Rugby Carnival who request extra matches as part of extended tours.

Local teams, those not requiring accommodation nor transport for the day participate for a modest fee of AUD$125 per team.

As is the case with the Canterbury Gold Coast Coast Rugby Carnival, the PBC Tens receives sanctioning from and is endorsed by the Queensland Rugby Union and the Australian Rugby Union.
